An air of mystery hangs around the Walk to Emmaus. How did they not know it was Jesus? Why didn't Jesus let them know right away? The mystery helps paint a real picture of what the life of faith is like in a post-Ascension world. We also don't always know it, when we are talking to God. We too have to navigate a touch of mystery. We too have an opportunity to encounter the risen Lord.
