Christ is rise! He is risen indeed! Jesus rose from the dead. His disciples slowly discover this fact over the course of that first Easter morning - first Mary, then Peter, then John. We, as the reader, get that dramatic irony. We’ve known it all along, but we get to watch them wrestle with it and come to see that the promise had come true.
